enercast and iS Software form strategic partnership and deliver complete solution for Redispatch 2.0

In October 2021, enercast announced a strategic partnership with iS Software for Redispatch 2.0 workflows in Germany. The announcement connected renewable-generation forecasting with software processes used by energy and water businesses. It was published during the introduction of the revised congestion-management arrangements and should be read in that context.

The announced division of work

The report described enercast's generation forecasts and integration platform alongside iS Software's WinEV solution and broader business-process software. The aim was to connect expected renewable output with the information and coordination needed for redispatch. Customer counts and quoted statements in the original announcement were observations from 2021, not current adoption figures.

Why integration matters

A grid workflow needs more than an isolated forecast file. Asset identifiers, valid intervals, delivery deadlines and updates must connect to the systems responsible for planning and communication. Expected generation must also be distinguished from planned restrictions and actual feed-in. Forecasts support the assessment of future conditions; they do not by themselves perform a complete grid-security calculation.

Historical announcement, current requirements separately

The legal thresholds and implementation statements in the original report reflected its publication period. They have not been carried forward as current legal advice. A present implementation needs the applicable rules and role responsibilities checked independently. This page retains the partnership announcement without asserting current contract scope, software compatibility or a complete compliance guarantee.
